October 21st 6PM: Lincoln's Counterfeiters at Leopold's, Madison *UPDATE*
OCTOBER 23 UPDATE: What a crowd! Thank you to everyone who came for the talk at Leopold’s!! I’m humbled by the great show of support, thank you!! Also thanks to Sam for organizing the event for me. Sam curates the best selection of books of any bookstore in Madison, check it out. Depth and breadth. ★★★★★
I did sign a few extra copies after the event so if you’d like one, talk to Sam.
I’m happy to say that Monroe’s Civil War maven Jon Rupp joined me for this event too. Here are some images of his latest reenactment, joined by his son.

Hi Everyone! I’m happy to announce that Leopold’s in Madison will be hosting me on Oct. 21 at 5 PM for a Q&A! Leopold’s is a bar/bookstore at 1301 Regent Street and they have kindly offered to sell special “Kentucky Colony” cocktails for the event. These are period-appropriate libations specially named to commemorate Chicago’s top crime dynasty! Cheers!
Kentucky Colonies are kinda light and bourbony and orangey.
Leopold’s is fun and downtown by the University set. Here’s the vibe:
