Hello, my name is Andrea Nolen.

I’m a researcher and writer. I’m a lifetime member of the Green County Historical Society. I have a knack for sounding out the inside story behind things that happened long ago.

My current project centers around the founding of The Goetz, a fabulous Spanish Colonial Revival theater in Monroe, WI. This landmark connects the life stories of local celebrities such as Ziegfeld girl Edith May; film director and newspaperman William Wesley Young; and the remarkable Goetz movie family. I will post updates and original research to this blog in anticipation of my upcoming book.
